Life Without Limits has become an important message for many UCP affiliates in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. In this section of the Life Without Limits site, we will feature examples of how our affiliates are embracing Life Without Limits in their communities.
UCP of Greater Birmingham
UCP of Greater Birmingham sees Life Without Limits as central to its work because "Life Without Limits" conveys to the organization's stakeholders, supporters, and community members what is at the heart of UCP – that disability is part of the common human experience, neither defining nor limiting it. To that end, at its annual Life Without Limits Luncheon this year, UCP of Greater Birmingham gave out its inaugural Life Without Limits Awards, honoring individuals, corporations and groups that most helped them to meet their mission of providing innovative services that connect individuals with disabilities to their communities and empower them to live full and meaningful lives.

UCP of North Texas
At UCP of North Texas, a "Life Without Limits" means providing a child the chance to take their first steps, providing individuals increased mobility, providing someone without speech the ability to communicate with their loved ones. That's why UCP of North Texas started the Life Without Limits Run, Walk & Roll. It is a community event featuring a 5K Run on a certified racecourse, and a 1K Family Fun Walk & Roll through picturesque Reverchon Park in downtown Dallas, TX. The event features sponsors and community partners in a helpful resource area, as well as fun family-friendly acts such as face painting, balloon artists, and photo buttons.

UCP of Orange County
UCP of Orange County has embraced Life Without Limits in many ways. In 2007, the organization hosted its first Life Without Limits Gala, including the presentation of their annual Life Without Limits award. This award is given to an individual who embodies or champions UCP-OC's vision of "Life Without Limits" in a powerful way. In November of 2008, UCP of Orange County opened a new Life Without Limits Pediatric Therapy Center in Irvine, California. The state of the art, 10,000 sq.ft. facility houses its administrative staff, therapy services, and recreational programs. They have also re-branded their annual golf tournament: it's now the Life Without Limits Golf Classic.
